Ramon Lloveras (President)

Biography

Ramón became President of Popular Insurance in San Juan in 2004. He was in charge of the formation and expansion of the business and is responsible for the operations, finance, sales & marketing and strategic planning of the agency. Ramón is focused in the development of long-term relationships with insurance agents and brokers by providing superior sales support and case management.

Before being named President of Popular Insurance, Ramón worked in various capacities with Popular Insurance and Popular, Inc. since 1997. Prior to 1997, he served as the General Counsel for Pueblo International, Inc., was a Junior Partner at a local law firm and held a position as a law clerk for an Associate Justice in the in the Supreme Court in Puerto Rico. Ramón obtained his B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University in 1982 and finished his Master’s degree a year later. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law in 1986 and received a Master of Law degree from Tulane University in 1988.

An active member of his community, Ramón is also a member of the Board of Directors of the San Juan Bay Estuary Program, part of the National Estuary Program.
