Dan DellaSala (Director of Private Wealth, LUTCF®)

Biography

Daniel DellaSala joined Capitas Financial as Director of Private Wealth in 2020. A native of Lancaster and Western New York, Dan is an established business professional with over 40 years of experience in the insurance, estate and business planning field. Dan began his career in the insurance business in 1980 with the State Mutual Insurance Company. In 1994, he became a District Manager for the Hartford Insurance Company and was promoted to Regional Manager in 1995 where he was presented with the coveted Vice Presidents Award for Outstanding Sales Performance and Business Management. In 1996, Dan went back to the field as a Senior Account Executive. In 2002, Dan earned the distinction and title as the “Number One” Senior Account Executive in the United States for the Hartford. During his 17 year career with the Hartford, Dan achieved the Chairman’s Club Member Award; President’s Club Member Award and Leader Qualifier, all the while working in one of the Hartford’s smallest markets. In June of 2011, Dan Joined Capitas Financial as Sales Vice President for Western New York State. In January 2016, he joined the Prudential Advisors. Estate and Business Planning have been the area of concentration and expertise for Dan for most of his career.

Giving back to his community is a way of life for Dan. His many community involvements include coaching baseball and softball for 24 years, now coaching three of his grandchildren; being a board member of the Buffalo Life Underwriting for 4 years; Advisory Board Member for Athletes in Action Buffalo Pro Ministry for 21 years; co- director of the Frank Reich Call to Courage Awards Breakfast for 19 years; Advisory Committee for the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation which raised well over $2,500,000,000 in the past 12 years and he was also Vice Chairman of the Community Advisory Board for the United States Army. Dan is also very involved with the opiate crisis by helping those that have addiction issues get through the drug court and rehabilitation programs. A graduate of Erie Community College in Buffalo, Dan has also earned his LUTCF® designation. Dan and is wife, Cindy, have been married for 39 years. The DellaSala’s have been blessed with four children and eight grandchildren.
