Biography
Kari joined Pacific Southwest Financial, a partner firm of Capitas Financial, as a Director of Private Wealth managing independent agents in September of 2012. She started in the insurance industry in 1993 with Second Opinion where she specialized in high net worth and high profile clients. She continued working with Second Opinion until August of 2012, which was bought by Marsh Private Client Services in 2004. Prior to joining Capitas, Kari specialized in building and maintaining agent and client relationships in the Independent marketplace, Merrill Lynch, LPL and Financial Network. She developed carrier relationships, assisted in negotiating medical offers and reviewed carrier retention guidelines to help build large cases.
Kari has continuously qualified for the Capitas’ Top 50 producing Sales Vice Presidents and has been awarded Sales Leader of the Year on two occasions. She is a long standing member of the Insurance Professionals of Los Angeles (IPLA), the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP), and Kari also serves on the Board of Directors of NAAIA Los Angeles as Community Engagement Director (National African American Insurance Association). She has been a supportive member in her community through feeding the homeless in the Pasadena California community each month with a group of four other couples. Kari is married with three children and seven grandchildren.
