Blake Mohr - Capitas Financial

Chief Executive Officer

Blake Mohr, CEO of Capitas Financial, joined Capitas Financial around its inception in 2002. Capitas’ vision was to create a franchise company that provided point-of-sale service and support to financial institutions and independent agents who are looking for comprehensive, sophisticated and unbiased insurance solutions to help clients build, preserve and distribute wealth.

Before joining Capitas Financial, Blake was with ReliaStar for 14 years where he held several key senior management roles and was responsible for managing the company’s 401(k) business. Prior to ReliaStar, Blake was employed by Coopers & Lybrand as a member of their audit staff. Blake holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

George Nichols III - The American College

President & Chief Executive Officer

George Nichols III currently serves as the 10th President and CEO in the storied history of The American College of Financial Services. He continues to take motivation from founder Solomon S. Huebner’s pioneering vision in 1927, while empowering The College to usher in the next century of excellence.

A life of private sector experience and public service brought Nichols to The College, where he shares its commitment to benefiting society by educating and influencing the financial services profession. He joined The College after a 17-year stint at New York Life, where he held principal roles in sales, strategic initiatives, and public policy. He most recently served as executive vice president in the Office of Governmental Affairs, which encompasses all of the legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues at the company.

Ralph Dittrich - Tellus Brokerage Connections

Vice President, Life Product Management

As Vice President, Life Product Management, he oversees the life product portfolio and works with carrier sponsors to promote product concepts, sales ideas and success stories. Prior to joining Crump, he was with American General Life as Vice President, Marketing, responsible for Premium Finance marketing and sales for the Life Profit Center; and Regional Vice President, Independent Agency Group. Ralph also worked for Merrill Lynch Insurance Group as Vice President, Life Insurance, where he managed all aspects of their proprietary variable universal life insurance product portfolio. A graduate of Rutgers College, he holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designations, and he is a registered securities principal.

Chris Behling - Swiss Re Underwriting

Hub Head Americas, Life & Health Products

Chris Behling is Hub Head Life & Health Products for the Americas and Chief Underwriter. Chris joined Swiss Re three years ago and brings over 20 years of experience in the US life and health insurance industry, working with several firms including Princeton Consultants, Hooper Holmes, and AXA/Equitable. Chris has worked for both carriers and distributors and served in a variety of roles including product development, operations, sales and underwriting.

As Hub Head & Chief Underwriter, Life & Health Americas, Chris is responsible for costing, underwriting, and ownership over the mortality portfolio in the Americas. In addition, he is part of Swiss Re's Life & Health Products Executive Team and Americas Management Team.
